SHOULDN’T IT HAVE BEEN RESOLUTION 314?

Your tax dollars at work. The House of Representatives passes Resolution 224 (see this post’s title) honoring Pi, that most transcendental and infinite of numbers which you get when you divide a circle’s circumference by its diameter.

Why pi, and why now? Check a calendar for tomorrow’s date.

Space Politics notes there were a few politicians who opposed the measure, and scratches its head at why.

Cool, and all.. but I wonder if the time might be better spent, um, trying to address other more important things.

And while there are a lot of websites that promise “pie” recipes in honor of “Pi Day,” I was frustrated that my search didn’t turn up any pies that actually had to do with the number. Too hard, apparently. I do like the pi-pie in that photo above, which I got from Slashfood’s pi-day piece from a year ago.

p.s. Another pie idea, if you’re not sick of the image already..
